Sophie Laura’s Hot Shredded Beef Casserole

This Shredded Beef Casserole is one on it’s own, a family feast that’s super simple to prepare yet packed out with an abundance of spices making it absolutely delicious! Oh we do love our spices and flavours in the Easy Keto Kitchen.

Hot Shredded Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 100 g (3.5 oz) grass-fed butter
  • 400 g (14 oz) cabbage shredded
  • 4 sticks spring onion / scallion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 fresh red chilli chopped
  • 90 g (3 oz) red bell pepper chopped
  • 500 g (17 oz) ground beef
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 225 g (8 oz) cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 tsp pink himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt half of the butter in a large pan and sauté the cabbage over a medium heat for 8-10 minutes, soften but make sure you don't turn it brown. Set to one side

  2. Melt the rest of the butter with the onion, garlic, chilli, red pepper and sauté for 4-5 minutes

  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook until the meat is no longer pink
  4. Add chilli, paprika and basil to the pan with the salt and black pepper
  5. Add the cabbage and sauté together with the beef for a few minutes

  6. Stir in half of the cheese then place in a baking dish
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top and bake for 15-20 minutes
